Ibrahim’s father married two wives and had five children. Both of Ibrahim's parents are Ebola survivors. Several family members died and the survivors were scattered to different areas of Sierra Leone.
For fear of the spread of Ebola among the children, Ibrahim was sent to live with his uncle who lives in Waterloo. He stopped going to school in Class 3 before Ebola and then continued his schooling after the surge of Ebola.
Ibrahim’s uncle is a commercial driver so he spends little time in the house. Ibrahim has to find food for himself by collecting and selling plastic bottles and scrap metals for food.
He is now attending Pentecostal Primary School but not consistently because of the lack of funds to pay for his tuition and other school materials.
