Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Unless they have sufficient funds to start their own business, which most do not, they are passed over for work because of their nationality. Dominicans prefer to hire their own countrymen.
Cristopher was only 10 years old when his mother passed away. She had a heart attack and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He currently lives with his father who works as a security guard. The money his father makes barely covers rent and a small amount of food. Cristopher is an only child.
Cristopher attends public school and is in 6th grade. His favorite subject is languages and he would like to become a businessman in the future.
