Life for Haitians in the Dominican is difficult. Unless they have sufficient funds to start their own business, which most do not, they are passed over for work because of their nationality. Dominicans prefer to hire their own countrymen.
Crisleydy lives with her parents and two siblings; she is the oldest among her siblings. Her father works two jobs. He works in construction when work is available and also drives a motorbike, which is used for local transport in the Dominican.
Her mother stays home to care for her siblings, Naika who is five years old and Crislidia who is two years old.
Currently, Crisleydy attends the public school and is in 1st grade. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite subject is mathematics. Crisleydy speaks Spanish. In her free time, Crisleydy enjoys writing and singing. She would like to become a teacher in the future.
