Emerson Guzman was born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He currently lives in Santo Domingo. Emerson has two daughters.
Emerson did not grow up in a Christian home. When he was 20 years old, a woman talked with him about Jesus and His saving grace. It was at this time that he began a relationship with Christ and has faithfully served the Lord since that time. Following his conversion he felt God calling him to become an evangelist and bring others to Christ.
For many years he spent his time preaching and helping other ministries develop and grow. His desire to do more for God’s Kingdom continued to grow, and as a result, he started a radio program to preach and reach more people. After a few years he decided to start a ministry not only to preach but also to help people through tangible ways such as feeding programs and medical clinics.
Emerson is currently the president of Fundación Mitirescri, which means “casting the net for Christ”. The ministry is based on Luke 5:5: “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” Emerson’s desire is to reach more communities and serve God faithfully until Christ calls him home.
Emerson’s favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:9 “Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.”
