What God can do in just a few days, in so many hearts

Emeline Crumley, a student at Legacy Christian Academy, shares her experience serving on a 25 Project expedition this summer.

Day 1 – “I met my sweet sponsored girl, Yesuany, & I rarely had a hand open after that! The second our vans pulled up we were greeted by tons of smiling faces. We spent all day laughing, holding hands, prayer walking through villages, watching littles sing, & sharing the love of Jesus. I had the chance to share my testimony with all the kids & speak with a sweet girl about the love of Jesus. I can hardly wait to see what this week has to hold!”

Day 2 – “Our hearts are so full. These kids have made an imprint on my heart & made my year. I hope that we can do the same for them. It was incredible watching them dance & sing & the pure excitement that they showed when we did the same. I absolutely loved getting to teach the kids. God really is at work so far.”

Day 3 – “I decided to challenge myself today & sit with the older kids at lunch. My Spanish was really tested, but even in a short time, I learned & they taught me. We were able to ask each other questions & carry on conversations. I am experiencing such joy & goodness as each day goes by. It is so absolutely amazing what God can do in just a few days & in so many hearts.”

Day 4 – “It’s our last day with the kiddos. These kids have moved me & given me so much joy. Trying to encourage their walk with Jesus has simply made my faith stronger. Today we spent so long hiding tears & did our best to really tell the kids how we loved them. I certainly hope when I am home people can see a change in me. I hope that I can carry this joy & love onto others the way these kids have taught me. I want others to know God as I do & for people to experience this love & grace & mercy & pure joy. I truly think this is how God wants us to feel. I feel so fulfilled & that is only from God. I don’t doubt I’ll be back soon.”
