Sunita’s Prayer

year-end-giving-green

Just a few weeks ago, we received prayer requests from some of our kids living in South Asia, Dominican Republic, and Sierra Leone. There were several that caught our attention, but one prayer request in particular still strikes me even now!

It is a prayer from Sunita in South Asia, one of our girls whose parents abandoned her years ago… “I pray for my family. Although they claim to be Christians, they really don’t have a personal relationship with God.”

While Sunita’s prayer is heartbreaking, at the same time, it is confirmation of the true relationship that has developed within her and the Lord.  This is what our ultimate hope and desire is… that each young life we are privileged to serve will know Christ and will grow into a true relationship with Him.

Sunita is just one of hundreds of kids we are currently serving, yet our hearts are burdened for the masses of other children we have yet to be able to reach. For example, we just opened up a new area of ministry among an unreached people group in Sierra Leone. Up to 95% of the kids in this fishing village are Muslim, and to our knowledge, there is no visible witness of the Gospel in this poor community. Hundreds of orphaned and vulnerable children are in this community alone, and our prayer is that God would allow us to see many, many of these children be introduced to Jesus and one day come to know Him.

It is because of young people like Sunita that this ministry exists. There are so many more we feel called to reach, so many more we hope will experience Jesus just as Sunita has. As God provides the resources to expand further, we will move forward with expectancy and excitement for the lives He will soon change.

As you think about your year-end giving, would you prayerfully consider giving a special gift to the ministry of the 25 Project? Every time you give to the 25 Project, you are helping bring the Gospel to orphaned and vulnerable children around the world. You can click here to make a special year-end gift!

Thank you so much for your consideration! We wish you a Happy New Year!
