The 25 Project Classic, that’s what’s happening! We are thrilled to be able to hold our first official event at Stonebridge Country Club in McKinney, TX. As of this morning, we currently have more than 20 teams (80+ actual people) committed to play in the tourney, and 20+ who are planning to walk. Unfortunately we do not have any open spots for more golf teams, but do have space for more walkers. Our hope is that we will have more than 50 before it’s all said and done.
Here’s the timing for the day of the event. Walkers will need to show up and get registered beginning at 9:30 AM. The walk begins at 10 AM, where each participant will walk along designated paths throughout beautiful Stonebridge Country Club. The walk will be for one hour with an approximate distance of 2.5 miles. Those with children are free to bring strollers.
As the walkers are finishing up at 11:00, golfers should begin arriving and registering for the golf tournament. Lunch is served for everyone at 11:30, followed by the golf tournament at 1:00. By the way, one reminder from the club, it is requested that no participants wear denim and golfers should be sure to wear collared shirts.
Every walker and golfer will be provided lunch, as well as receive a 25 Project T-Shirt, “goodie bag”, and have the chance to receive lots of giveaways and prizes. We’re expecting an incredible day and thrilled to use this event to help the 25 Project meet and serve the physical and spiritual needs of the least of these around the world.
